Many countries block acces to Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Youtube, MySpace, Bebo and many more of social websites.
Also several websites block some countries to access their content.
By using a web proxy server located in other countries (USA, European countries, ...) you can override this lock.
Proxy sites are very useful, but you should take some precautions.
